A remarkable Mid-Century corner bar designed and crafted in Italy by Artigiani del Mobile Cantù in collaboration with Luigi Anzani. This bar showcases an ingenious corner solution that seamlessly integrates a counter and shelving unit.
The bar rests on a slightly elevated platform featuring exquisite parquetry framed with bronze accents. The small counter is supported by tapered black legs with brass sabots. The exterior paneling is grooved, echoing the design on the sides of the shelving unit. Behind sliding glass doors, the counter offers ample storage space with shelves. Artistic brass rods with relief vine-leaf motifs adorn the counter, culminating in an asymmetrical white onyx top.
The L-shaped shelving unit includes a two-door cabinet at the base, providing practical storage. Above it sits a two-door shelving unit featuring a stunning and intricate marquetry panel by Luigi Anzani. The panel depicts a lively scene of dancers with guitars, tambourines, and fans, signed "Anzani L" in the lower right corner. Three shelves with delicate balustrades and a frieze featuring a classic running-dog motif complete the design.
A stamp from "Artigiani del Mobile Cantù" is located on the inside of one door. This exceptional piece combines functionality with artistic and craftsmanship excellence from the mid-20th century.
