A mid century modern table lamp designed by Gerald Thurston from America circa 1950. The cream and brown ceramic glaze of the elegant vase stands on a circular patinated brass base and is capped by a matching brass section. Thurston was one of the most innovative American lighting designers of the post-war era. He earned acclaim for his lamps which exemplified the streamlined forms and sleek materials of the mid 20^th century.
