Art Deco seating set consisting of a two-seater sofa and a matching armchair, probably France, early 20th century. The gilded wooden frames stand on slender, fluted, tapered legs. The sofa features a straight backrest with armrests sloping downward on either side, while the armchair has a semicircular backrest that flows into the armrests. Both pieces have been newly upholstered in a light blue fabric. The seats are fitted with loose cushions. Armchair dimensions: H 74 × W 68 × D 64.5 cm (29.1 × 26.8 × 25.4 in.), seat height 50 cm (19.7 in.). Sofa dimensions: H 79.5 × W 134 × D 66 cm (31.3 × 52.8 × 26.0 in.).
