Large ceiling chandelier made of chromed steel with solid glass spheres arranged radially on thin rods. Aloys Gangkofner (1920 Reichenberg -2003 Munich) equipped numerous public spaces with his lighting fixtures, including the Meistersingerhalle in Nuremberg and the Bavarian State Library in Munich. As professor of glass design at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, he had a masterly understanding of the use of glass and light.
