This exceptional coffee table is a work by the Italian design duo Grupo NP2 – Nerone and Patuzzi, created in the 1970s. It consists of two identical parts that can be arranged together or separately. The rectangular travertine tops feature a geometric design of circles and rectangles, with each surface section treated differently to create varied textures and visual depth.
The travertine tops rest on an x-shaped metal base, which gives the table both stability and an airy, architectural look. The combination of natural stone and industrial metal gives the piece a sculptural, almost brutalist character.
