Small elegant buffet on tall iron feet with gold-patinated ball decoration and two doors. The fronts of the sideboard are veneered with root wood grain and framed by light maple inlays. The sideboard bears the embossed signature of Hans Wauer on the inside.

Hans Wauer was a Munich architect and furniture designer who worked until the 1960s. After 1945, he rebuilt his parents' furniture-making business, which had been destroyed during the war, and in 1965 he published a book of his own furniture designs.
