A handsome Neoclassical pedestal display column from Potsdam, Germany circa 1800. The finely grained mahogany timber is embellished with patinated brass details to enhance the circular form. Interestingly the column stands upon a substantial octagonal base which provides an unusually powerful sculptural effect.
