Pair of iconic Traccia side tables, also known as the "Bird Leg Table," originally designed in 1939 by Swiss surrealist artist Meret Oppenheim (1913-1985) and later produced by Simon International beginning in the 1970s.
These versions feature polished bronze legs in the form of bird feet and an oval tabletop in MDF with a yellow gold finish. The subtle imprints of the bird feet on the surface spark one's imagination — a surrealist gesture rooted in the late 1930s that continues to resonate today. Oppenheim references in her design classical claw-footed furniture while reimagining it through a surrealist lens.
This particular pair has been carefully restored, preserving the original patina.
