A fine pair of "Ikora" crystal glass vases by WMF from Germany circa 1930. Each trumpet shape vase is formed of ruby red glass crystal with black and gray inclusions creating an asymmetrical pattern. The circular foot of each WMF vase provides balance and stability as well as a visual finish.
WMF (formerly known as Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige.
The name 'Ikora', from a plant with brilliantly hued flowers endemic to south east was designed to express the costly and exclusive quality of this line in metal products.
