Art Deco Cabinet with Brass Mounts in the Style of Raymond Subes and Maurice Jallot, France, 1940s
Two-door Art Deco cabinet in mahogany with unusual centrally hinged doors and striking brass mounts in the form of large loop handles with double crossbars. The sides of the cabinet are paneled.
The combination of centrally mounted doors and expressive loop-form brass hardware suggests a stylistic connection to the work of Maurice Jallot (French, 1900-1971) and the metal designer Raymond Subes (French, 1891-1970).
