Exceptional Murano glass vase by Barovier & Toso from the B.A.G. series.

The tall, tapered vase body in vibrant red-orange glass rests on a hemispherical base of turquoise-blue glass. Two curved elements of clear, ribbed glass extend along the sides of the vase, connecting to dark blue glass applications at the upper section.

The combination of bold colors, transparent elements, and sculpturally worked glass details gives the vase its distinctive sculptural character.

The underside bears the original Barovier & Toso label, as well as the incised inscription “Design J. Giul…” (partially illegible) and the date or edition “09/99”.
