Two ceramic vases featuring lenticular bodies with narrow, elongated openings in a dark grey color. Each piece presents a unique surface treatment: one decorated with irregular vertical lines and organic, dotted glazing; the other defined by a deep, concave indentation. Both vases are signed on the base: “Boaretto, ’72” and “Boaretto, ‘72, PD”, marking their origin in Padua, in 1972. Born in Montegrotto Terme in 1914, Boaretto trained at Richard-Ginori and later founded his own studio in Padua, where he worked until his death in 1977. His pieces reflect a fusion of artisanal skill and instinctive, folk-inspired primitivism.
